Anti-slip walkways and access surfaces
Worn aggregate, oil tracking, and process spills drop floors, stairs, and walkways below safe slip resistance and raise fall risk.
What is failing
Aggregate wears smooth under traffic, and oil tracking or process spills leave floors, stairs, and walkways below safe slip resistance. A slick stair tread or platform deck turns a routine walk into a fall hazard. One slip on a wet landing can mean a lost-time injury, a recordable, and a hard look at the whole site safety program.
How AAS does it
AAS preps the surface first, removing oil, grease, and loose coating so the grip system bonds to sound substrate. We apply cold-cure safety-grip coatings by hand to floors, stair treads, ramps, ladder rungs, and platform decks, with no hot work and no torch near process areas. Supporting Belzona grip systems give a defined aggregate profile our crew can tune to the wear and the exposure.
Typically applied with Belzona 4411, Belzona 5231, matched to the service conditions.
Walkways, stairs, and access points return to safe slip resistance, and most surfaces reopen to foot traffic the same shift.
