Tank & Vessel Linings

Bund wall rebuild and lining

Bund walls spall from the inside out, exposing rebar and opening cold-joint cracks until the wall no longer holds its rated volume.

The problem

What is failing

Bund walls spall from the inside out as moisture and chemical attack reach the rebar. Once the steel rusts and expands, it pries the concrete face apart and opens cold-joint cracks. A wall that loses its rated volume puts the whole facility out of compliance and at risk of an uncontained spill.

Our method

How AAS does it

Our crew cuts back the failed concrete, treats exposed rebar, and rebuilds the spalled face with a cold-cure repair mortar from the Belzona 4100 series. We cap the rebuilt surface with a barrier coating and add a chemical-resistant overlay where the stored product demands it. No demolition of the wall and no replacement pour.

Typically applied with Belzona 4131, Belzona 4141, Belzona 4311, matched to the service conditions.

The result

The bund holds its rated containment volume again and passes inspection, with the wall restored in place rather than rebuilt from scratch.
