Plain bearing, bushing and bearing-housing repair
Worn bearing bores, fretted bushing seats and vibration-loosened housings shift the rotating axis and shorten coupling and seal life.
What is failing
Worn bearing bores, fretted bushing seats, and vibration-loosened housings let the rotating axis drift off true. The shaft no longer sits where the design put it, so couplings load unevenly and seals leak early. Left alone, the misalignment chews through new bearings as fast as they go in.
How AAS does it
AAS rebuilds bearing bores and retainer surfaces cold with a machinable composite such as Belzona 1311, then re-chocks the housing back to alignment. The crew can pour the bearing seat against the shaft or machine it to the bearing's outside diameter. No welding heat goes into the housing to move it off line again.
Typically applied with Belzona 1311, matched to the service conditions.
The bearing seats to spec and the rotating axis returns to its design position. Coupling and seal life come back, with no trip to the OEM shop for a re-bore.
