Tank base sealing and water-ingress prevention
Water wicks in at the tank-to-foundation rim and attacks the floor plate from beneath, accelerating underside corrosion with every rain cycle.
What is failing
Water wicks in at the tank-to-foundation rim and attacks the floor plate from beneath. Underside corrosion is hidden, so it runs unchecked between inspections and accelerates with every rain cycle. By the time it shows up, the floor plate can be thinned enough to require a costly bottom replacement.
How AAS does it
We prepare the steel-to-concrete chime and seal it with a flexible cold-applied coating that moves with the joint instead of cracking, supported by the Belzona 3111 system. The inside rim gets reinforced where water ingress drives the underside attack. The work fits inside routine inspection windows with no hot work at the tank base.
Typically applied with Belzona 3111, Belzona 5811, matched to the service conditions.
The rim is sealed against water ingress and the floor plate is protected from beneath, deferring a bottom replacement.
