Crack-bridging and detail reinforcement

Roof cracks and high-movement detail areas keep working open under thermal cycling, splitting rigid coatings and reopening leak paths.

The problem

What is failing

Roof cracks and high-movement detail areas keep working open under daily thermal cycling. A rigid coating cannot follow that motion, so it splits at the crack and the leak path reopens. Each reopening sends water back into the deck and insulation, driving repeat repairs and interior damage.

Our method

How AAS does it

AAS prepares the crack and surrounding area in the field, then bridges it with a high-elasticity cold-cure membrane that stretches with the substrate. We reinforce problem details with embedded fabric where movement is heavy. No hot work, torches, or roof tear-off, and a Belzona 3000-series elastomeric membrane backs the detail work where added stretch is needed.

The result

The detail holds across continued movement instead of cracking back open. The facility keeps the existing roof and stops the cycle of returning to the same leak.
