Wear plate and bar protection
Wear plates and bars in chutes, crushers, and handling equipment lose thickness to impact and sliding abrasion, then sit loose against an irregular backing.
What is failing
Wear plates and bars in chutes, crushers, and handling equipment lose thickness to impact and sliding abrasion every shift. As they thin, they distort and sit loose against an irregular backing, so load no longer transfers evenly. The uneven bearing accelerates failure and shortens the interval between expensive changeouts.
How AAS does it
AAS rebuilds the worn plate face and beds the plate to full bearing against its backing using cold-cure metal-repair and ceramic compounds, in the field or in our shop. Filling the gap behind the plate spreads the load so no single point takes the impact. No hot work, so the repair runs without a welding permit during the maintenance window.
The plates and bars carry load evenly across a solid backing and run longer between changeouts, cutting downtime and replacement spend.

How AAS delivers it
AAS performs Wear plate and bar protection work for Steel, Mining & Bulk, and Manufacturing operations across Baton Rouge and Louisiana, cold-applied and in place wherever possible, on your turnaround schedule. Crews are factory-trained Belzona applicators, the repair system is matched to the service conditions it will see, and urgent failures are covered by 24-hour on-call response. The result is a permanent, engineered repair that returns the asset to service without the cost or downtime of full replacement.
